Dear Goal Setter!
In the last blog we talked about staying motivated and reaching your major goals by setting and doing small actionable steps on a timeline.
Today, I want to talk to you about the roadblocks that we all experience, and how you can overcome them by changing your perspective.
When it comes to identifying roadblocks in your life, you have to be honest about what’s getting in your way.
Here is a short exercise to help you identify your roadblocks:
First, write a list of what you perceive to be obstacles, and then list solutions to your problems. Make a list of 5-10 solutions for each problem listed.
For instance, if money is the reason you’re not going to school; write a list of alternative sources of school funding to investigate (loans, grants, scholarships, etc.).
It may seem like a simple exercise, but doing this will help you to understand what is holding you back, and will give you the power and insight to overcome these problems. Just by identifying them and thinking through actionable solutions will allow you to move past your current situation and grow more quickly and easily.
Pencil this exercise in on your to-do list and give it a try soon. You will be surprised at what you come up with and how much easier your roadblocks will be to remove.
I also want to take a moment and give you an update on my Ultimate Goal Setting Success webinar and how you can use it to transform your life. We’ll dig deeper into:
